Special Forces Exhibition Attracted Almost 180,000 Visitors And Gathered Consensus of All-out Defense (October 26,2015)

    Today was the 70th Anniversary of the Retrocession of Taiwan. The two-day Special Forces Exhibition held by Ministry of National Defense and Discovery Channel at Liberty Square was successfully ended. The exhibition attracted almost 180,000 visitors and promoted the idea of all-out defense. In the venue, the most attractive event was the military exercise, where Special Forces Command Battle Drum Troop, Special Forces Command Combat Operations, Marine Corps frog men exercise, Chinese Marine Corps Special Service Company Combat Operation, Marine Corps Chikwondo and Navy Honor Guard showcased their solid training results to citizens.

    Around the central square, citizens participated in interactive experiences at stands, including T91 rifle and 90 pistol shooting simulation, parachuting wear experience, Road to Heaven of Marine corps, and the “immersive interactive shooting simulation system” of National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology. In these activities, participants learned the importance of national defense and gathered the consensus of all-out defense through playing. On the central stage, Ministry of National Defense arranged Chinese Marine Corps Special Service Company and Sky Diver Team and Army Aviation and Special Forces Command to explain the process of daily training and teach citizens how to knot, identify plants, and light a fire and obtain water. In the aspect of “static display of equipment”, Taiwan Infantry fighting vehicle, M3 bridging vehicle, stinger anti-fire missile, four-wheeled assault vehicle, and antelope air defense system were displayed and introduced by specialists to allow visitors to understand equipment functions and take photos.
